How to make your own website in 5 steps

Step 1:

Ask yourself do you really , really want to have a website of your own.

There are 'nice to have' goals. There are 'should have' goals. Then there are 'really want, must have' goals.

If you want to have a successful website of your own this must be a 'really want, must have' goal.

Why?

Because you will be spending a LOT of your time creating and building it. It simply doesn't happen overnight!

In my case I really, really wanted to own a successful website and was prepared to put in the time required to do so. An hour or two a day ,every day was what I could manage.

I also had very good reasons why I wanted to do this - To pursue my passion, to help other people pursue theirs, to generate an income and to build my pension fund... to name a few.

Make sure you have great reasons too!

Step 2:

Set your goal

Once you have decided that you really really want to have your own website , your next step is to turn it into a crystal clear goal.

It isn't enough to say 'I want to build an ecommerce site or website '. You need to be much more specific.

To do this get a paper and a pen.

Next, take the time to clarify what you want using the simple smart goal setting process.
If you want to think your goal through in much more detail, as for any important goal, take yourself through the smartest goals™ setting process.

(Thinking your goal through in detail, from the outset, will greatly increase your chances of success well before you start committing your time, energy and money to it).

Step 3:

Visualise your goal into existence

Thousands of books, tapes, CD's and speakers will all tell you the same thing – visualise your goal into existence.

When you visualise your goal, no matter what it is, it helps your goal become a reality.

All successful people do this in one way or another – and so have you!

In relation to my goal to build my own website I applied all the basics to help me – goal affirmations, visualisation, vision boards, mind movies...

You can pick and choose which methods appeal to you the most – there are many and they are all effective.
